More AI specialists have come forward this
weekend emphasising the belief that robots may indeed destroy all of humanity
in the coming years.
An artificial intelligence researcher told
the BBC’s top interviewer, Loura Kinsberj, that he had quit the AI firm,
Anthropic, because people working on the technology were genuinely frightened about
the speed of AI’s development and what it could mean for humanity.
He said that if humans do not slow AI’s
current rate of progress, “We could all die in the immediate future.”
